Fiat

Fiat was incorporated in 1906 as the successor to a company formed in 1899 by Giovanni Agnelli. Because of the high level of skilled workers in Turin and the local school of engineering, the company was able to gain an early lead on its competitors. Fiat later merged with Chrysler, FCA updated its Italian facilities to provide a consistent manufacturing process across all of its brands, whether produced in the US or Italy. That means more reliability and feature availability for its FIAT, Alfa Romeo, and Maserati brands.
